Dalyan

The unique Turkish town Dalyan is based on a river, surrounded by lush green fields breaking into spectacular mountain ranges in stunning countryside.  This is one of the surviving corners of paradise an area of outstanding natural beauty and historic interest.  The Dalyan channel through which water circulates between the Mediterranean sea and Köyceğiz lake slowly meanders forming a network of small lakes and waterways where reeds rise between 3 to 5 meters in height.

Iztuzu beach with crystal sands, shallow blue sea and abundant sunshine is perfect for swimming 6 months of the year.  Also this beach is home to the Caretta Caretta turtles.  Dalyan is also famous for the mud baths and hot springs.  The baths are used for health and beauty purposes.

Down river you can see the amazing Lycian cliff tombs which are around 2500 years old and belong to the ancient city of Counos and can be reached by boat.  Dalyan is 15 min from Ortaca and just 25 min from Dalaman Airport.

You can not find another place where you can find everything you need and is so peaceful.
